Sometimes, we hold on too tightly to expectations, either those of people we know or the ones we set for ourselves.
If you have OCD, or, really, if you’re anyone who feels the need to control things or you’re simply anxious about something in particular in your life (e.g. whether or not you’re going to make rent, if you just found out you’re pregnant with your ex’s baby, a news report just a announced that a meteor is headed straight for your house, etc.)…
I feel compelled to tell you this:
Stop. Close your eyes. BREATHE.
It may seem stupid or inferior in the moment, but TRUST ME: it’s going to be okay.
